The 48-year-old Oscar winner talked briefly about her past relationship with the actor with the U.K. newspaper The Evening Standard in comments posted on Thursday. Kidman, who is currently married to musician Keith Urban, recently ended her second London stage run in the play Photograph 51, which earned her the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards.
When asked if there were things she learned from her first marriage that she did differently in her second, she told the newspaper, "Any time you have a chance at something again is good, but each combination of people is different. I was a baby when I married Tom, but I don't regret any of it. But out of respect for Keith I tend not to discuss any of that now."

 Elton John has urged young singers to get their highs from music and not drugs.

The singer, who had to struggle with substance addiction until 1990, suggested the young stars to maintain their distance from drugs while talking to Vice magazine, reports mirror.co.uk.

Madonna used fake police car

Madonna has been accused of using a fake police car to queue-jump through traffic here.

The 57-year-old singer allegedly hopped in a black Jaguar after her two gigs on Tuesday and Wednesday this week at the O2 Arena here. When the vehicle sped off with blue and red lights flashing from its dashboard and queue jumped through traffic, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I was waiting outside the O2 and all the roads were blocked. Nobody was moving, then all of a sudden there's this huge commotion and I saw flashing lights. Then I saw a car and we figured it was an undercover cop. It was beeping so all the traffic let it through. Some drivers were really annoyed," The Sun newspaper quoted an eye witness as saying.


"Then I looked into the car and saw Madonna. She's being driven out with a flashing light sat on the dashboard," the witness added.

How Michael's Past Legal Troubles

While Kristin Cavallari's brother Michael remains missing after his car was found abandoned in Utah on Nov. 27, more details have emerged about his past troubles with the law.

On Nov. 23, just days before his disappearance, Cavallari, 30, was arrested and briefly held in an Orange County jail. He was arrested with a loaded shotgun outside the city hall in Dana Point, California, and an unnamed woman also claimed Cavallari was outside her home carrying a shotgun, according to various reports.

In November 2014, Cavallari was found guilty of driving while his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit of 0.08 percent, according to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE. He was sentenced to three years of probation, $390 in fines, one day in jail, three months of attendance in a first offender alcohol program, and victim impact counseling.

He was also found guilty of several other driving violations, including driving at an unsafe speed in May 2014, and unsafe passing and driving while using a cell phone in October 2013.

Cavallari was charged with petty theft in July 2012, but those charges were ultimately dismissed.

"[Michael] was always a troubled kid and there was always drama with him," a source previously told PEOPLE. "He gave his parents a hard time. He's completely opposite to Kristin, who is levelheaded and business orientated."

Kristin expressed her hope for his safe return in an Instagram post she shared on Monday.

"I appreciate all the concern, thoughts, and prayers that have been extended to me and my family," she wrote. "We remain hopeful and I will share any news that we receive. I have such gratitude for all those that have shared their support."

California woman shooter India's Connection

The Pakistani woman suspect in the California mass shooting may have travelled to India from Saudi Arabia once in 2013, a year before she came to the US with her husband, a media report said today.

Tashfeen Malik, 27, had visited Saudi Arabia twice, the New York Times quoted a Saudi Interior Ministry official as saying.

After one of the visits to the kingdom, she had left for India, the report said.

The report quoted Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman Mansour Turki as saying that Malik had arrived in Saudi Arabia in June, 2008 from Pakistan to visit her father and stayed for about nine weeks before returning to Pakistan.

"Then, in 2013, she arrived on June 8, from Pakistan, and departed for India on October 6 of the same year," Turki was quoted as saying in the NYT report.

But there is no further detail about whether Malik had reached India or for how long and where in India she stayed.

The details of her life before arriving in the US emerged as investigators probed the background and motivation of Malik and her Pakistani-American husband Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, for carrying out last week's mass shooting that killed 14 people before both were shot dead by police.

Turki said there was "no evidence" that Malik had met her husband in the kingdom, but they were in Saudi Arabia at the same time for about five days in October 2013.

Farook visited Saudi Arabia twice, once for the Hajj pilgrimage in October, 2013, and once for an off-season Umraah pilgrimage for nine days in July, 2014.

American officials reported that the couple flew to the US together from Jeddah in July, 2014.

The NYT report said that according to Malik's relatives and acquaintances in Pakistan, she had grown up in Saudi Arabia and had been influenced by its deeply conservative interpretation of Islam.

Saudi officials however denied that she spent significant time in the kingdom, saying she visited only twice, for a few months in total.

Malik had moved with her father, an engineer, from Punjab province in Pakistan to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, when she was a young child, the report said adding that from 2007 to around 2012, Malik studied in Multan where one faculty member recalled her as a "Saudi girl" because her religious observance was so much stricter than that of her peers.

She obtained her place as a pharmacy student at Bahauddin Zakariya University under a quota system that reserves spots for the children of expatriate Pakistanis — suggesting that she had indeed grown up abroad, the report said.

The NYT report further said that Saudi officials have denied the idea that Malik took up more fundamentalist views in Saudi Arabia, or that it played a role in the relationship between her and Farook.

"The Saudi narrative has varied to the extent that one official denied she had ever been there," the report said.

A day after the attack, a spokesman for the Saudi Foreign Ministry Osama Nugali said told NYT that while Farook had visited the kingdom only once, for nine days in 2014, there was no record of Malik having ever entered the kingdom.

India's 'last prince' dies in a mud hut

The final surviving royal of the British Raj-era “princely states” of Orissa passed away last Monday in obscure poverty at his asbestos-covered mud hut in Tigiria village, which had been his home since 1987.

Brajraj Kshatriya Birbar Chamupati Singh Mahapatra died on November 30 marking the end of an era. Once known as a playboy prince of colonial India, the Raja of Tigiria had lived in a fine palace, hunted big game and travelled by elephant when he wasn’t racing one of his 25 vintage cars.

Tigiria, first seized by Mahapatra’s ancestors in 1246AD, was the smallest in the eastern Indian state of Orissa, but still afforded its prince enough wealth for 30 servants, luxurious holidays and a famous collection of cars, motorbikes and horses.


In an interview in 2013, the Raja recounted the day when still in his twenties, he “left my diwan [minister]” outside the town hall and signed the document under the instructions of Vallabhbhai Patel, one of India’s founding fathers.

However, once Mahapatra had merged his state into the new Indian republic in 1947, his life changed drastically. He lost his state’s tax revenues and instead was given an annual income of £130 pounds by the state. For someone who had only had the best of everything in life, the income proved insufficient and by 1960 he had to sell his palace for £900.

His fortunes again took a turn for the worst when the then Indian prime minister Indira Gandhi withdrew the last remaining royal privileges and he lost his annual income, which had been promised in perpetuity.

Woman found unconscious at AC/DC concert at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium

A woman has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after she was found unconscious at AC/DC’s Melbourne concert last night.

Police said they were called to Etihad Stadium just before 7.30pm to assist paramedics.

The victim, believed to be in her 20s, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition and is now stable.


Victoria Police today moved to deny reports the woman had been assaulted.


“Police at a music concert at Etihad Stadium last night, were called to assist St Johns staff following a report of an unconscious woman just before 7.30pm,” police said in a statement.

“The woman remains in hospital for treatment.

“This is not an assault related matter.”

AC/DC plays the venue again tomorrow in the final show of their “Rock Or Bust” Australian tour.

A peak flow meter can let you know if an attack is about to happen. Be sure you always know the number that reflects your best breathing.

• If your peak flow meter shows numbers between 50% and 80% of your personal best, an asthma attack has probably started.
• A number below 50% means an emergency. Use your rescue inhaler, and call for help right away.
• Call 911 if you have trouble walking or talking because you're short of breath, or if your lips are blue or gray. Use your rescue inhaler while you wait for help.

Follow Your Asthma Action Plan

An action plan tells you how to deal with the symptoms of an asthma attack. 

• Based on your peak flow numbers, it shows you what medicines to take and when. It's important to follow the steps and take your medications exactly as your doctor tells you to.
• If your symptoms still get worse after you've followed your plan, call your asthma doctor. Your plan should have instructions for emergencies, too.

Trouble Breathing

During an asthma attack, muscles around the airways tighten, and the airway linings swell. 

• The airways make too much mucus, which can block the air tubes in the lungs.
• Air gets trapped in the lungs, and it gets hard to breathe.
• Wheezing might be the first symptom you notice. But as the attack gets worse, you'll feel more chest tightness and shortness of breath. Eventually, you might feel like you can't get enough air.

Posture Changes

When someone is having trouble breathing, he might lean forward, speak in single words instead of sentences, and get very agitated.

As the problem gets worse, he might hunch over with his hands supporting his upper body. This is called the tripod position.

Chest and Neck Retractions

When it's hard to breathe, the tissue in the chest and neck may sink in with each breath. This is called retraction.

Retractions mean not enough air is getting into the lungs. They're a sign of a medical emergency. Call 911 or see a doctor right away.

ISIS, the jihadist group declared terrorists Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik are martyrs

“We pray to God to accept them as martyrs,” ISIS said in a broadcast on al-Bayan Radio, stopping short of claiming responsibility for the attack.
Officials revealed Friday that Malik posted a “bayat,” or pledge of allegiance, to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi just before the attack. No actual back-end-forth communication between the jihadist group and the hate-filled couple has been disclosed.

Malik’s post, since being removed by Facebook, went up at 11am. Wednesday local time — about the same time the duo opened fire at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, killing 14.

The hubby, Farook, had contact with people from at least two jihadist groups overseas, according to a report.
Farook communicated with the al Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front in Syria and with al-Shabaab in Somalia, sources said, confirming accounts in the LA Times.
Federal investigators are probing Farook’s phone and social-media activity for terrorism-related communications and have found contacts with at least one person under investigation for terrorism connections, CNN reported. “These appear to be soft connections,” meaning infrequent contacts, an official told CNN.
Farook’s last terrorism-related communication was months ago, the network reported.
“We don’t know yet what they mean,” an official told CNN.

The disclosures offered deepening proof that Farook, 28, and his wife and partner in terror, Tashfeen Malik, 29, were at least inspired by foreign militant groups.
Nerves remained jittery in the Redlands, Calif., neighbourhood where the couple lived with their 6-month-old daughter.
On Friday night, bomb technicians were deployed to inspect a package that was delivered by UPS to the couple’s town house. On Saturday, local police tweeted that the box turned out to be a delivery of clothes from Sears for Farook’s mother.
Neighbours displayed American flags in the fronts of their houses, and passers-by waved still more flags outside their car windows as they drove by the couple’s boarded-up home, reports the New York Post.

In the final few years of Tashfeen Malik’s life, the people around the young woman saw her dress ever more conservatively and urge people ever more ardently to live a devout life.
For an aunt in Malik’s old hometown of Pakistan, Malik’s growing religious focus was one of the last things the aunt heard about her 29-year-old niece — before last week, when the relative learned that her niece and her niece’s husband had donned face masks, hoisted assault rifles and killed 14 people in a rampage in Southern California in the United States.
